Boat riding is allowed here. If you want to do boat riding, you can own a boat. You can also bring your dog here. You can come here from September 15 to March 15. Cedar Grove Beach, Best Sunbathing Spot in New York City

Located on Staten Island’s eastern shore, Cedar Grove Beach is New York’s newest beach in the city’s Parks Department. First, it was the part of an oceanfront bungalow community in Great Kills Park, but now it’s a peaceful alternative to some of Staten Island’s other beaches.

Its a mini beach in NYC. The good thing about this beach is that it’s not crowded. People usually come here just for taking sunbath. Dogs are allowed here.

It is a perfect place for flying kites. Some people tell us that whenever they come here, they bring their kites with them to catch perfect winds.

The bad thing about this beach is the parking area is small.

You can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. On this beach there are more toilets and beach workers will also provide you free sunscreen. Restrooms and laundry facilities are open. Duty of lifesavers until 6 pm (this is when it closes).

The people’s Beach at Jacob Riis Park

South-east from Wadsworth fort to the Recreational Gateway section of Miller Field, this 15-mile boardwalk and beach area runs parallel to the boulevard Father Capodanno. It’s one of the four vast beachfront locations on the Atlantic Ocean in NYC.
